Charity video production companies aren't all made equal. Having almost two decades working with charities, not for profit and voluntary sector organisations we fully understand and appreciate the massive role that Third sector organisations play in our society and aim to give back by offering affordable yet high quality video content.
At the core of our work within the third sector are the values and principles that we as a social business share with our many clients. We wholeheartedly believe in the power of human spirit and are committed to using our experience as filmmakers with a social conscience to put these community heroes into the spotlight.
Shining a light on those making a difference
We’re passionate about documenting people and giving a voice to those that would otherwise go unheard. Much of this work has been to document and promote the great work that third sector organisations are doing at a grass roots level to make our communities a better place to live in.
Our films have touched on all kinds of themes from hard hitting issues such as mental health awareness, isolation & loneliness, antisocial behaviour, social action to promo shoots with next generation of artistic youth talent. Whatever the project we are privileged always and remain committed to working with progressive third sector organisations and the inspiring, passionate and courageous individuals that feature at the centre of each story.
CASE STUDY:
How to engage young people in your area with social enterprise
Client: UnLtd & Big Local
After a rigorous UK wide tender process in Dec 2018 we were commissioned by leading UK foundation for social entrepreneurs UnLtd on a multi year film project to create a series of branded learning films that will help them to educate and inspire people to make positive social changes in their own communities.
The films will be part of an ongoing portfolio of support available for people and align with their existing learning journeys in local places.
The films will also be used as tools to generate discussion and spark debates at events and workshops across the UK. They will also become part of UnLtd’s online learning area, as a collection of films for people interested in making their community a better place to live, work and play.
Aims & Objectives
The marketing team at UnLtd were clear from the outset that they wanted to work with a video agency that understood the core values of their organisation and one that could reflect this in the resulting production. Being a nationally recognised organisation the productions had to accurately reflect the 'tone of voice' and high production values associated with them. They also wanted a company that they could trust and work with over a number of years on a complex media project that involved multiple agencies, individuals across a wide geographical spread.
Production Notes
The project began with the production of an 8 minute pilot film about inspirational social entrepreneurs in Bermondsey, south London.
It was shot in 1 day, over 5 locations with a 3 person crew and launched in June 2019 after an initial 30sec teaser campaign via Twitter followed by distribution on UnLtd's YouTube channel.
Film No2. is currently in development.
