For each project we work with a small but dynamic creative team, carefully selected from a pool of talented freelance film crew. Our many projects have involved live action, mixed live action/animation and studio shoots of varying budgets from Self-Shooting / PD gigs to larger projects with 10 – 20 crew. All delivered on time and on budget.
Pocket Projects Video Production Company
Our humble beginnings
We were founded in 2006 by Bradford born filmmaker Rad Miller whom had nothing but a dream and a battered handicam. Now well over a decade later, the handicam has long since gone but the dream is very much alive and we are a fully fledged creative video production company working our magic out of our Leeds office.
It’s no secret that short form content is here to stay and we’ve been creating high quality, memorable and shareable short films since 2006. Our films may be short but they make a big impact.
“Since founding the company the creative vision for Pocket Projects has remained the same and that is to fully satisfy our clients by making fun, original and highly engaging films about young people.”
Rad Miller – Creative Director
Meet Our Team
A Bradford born professional director and media educator with a wealth of experience in socially conscious filmmaking. He started out as a professional music producer/ rapper before turning his hand to filmmaking. In 2006 he founded Pocket Projects with a focus on creating content for and with young people. An experienced youth media educator, he provides mentoring and work placement opportunities to further young people’s media careers.
Rad leads on all creative aspects of Pocket Projects and works closely with clients to establish the look and tone for commissioned content. From drafting creative treatments, scripts and storyboards to directing his vision on shoots and leading the edit process in post.
Jo joined Pocket Projects in 2019 as Project Manager and organises all things project and workshop based. As former Head of Learning at Northern Ballet, she has experience not only of managing large projects, but also ensuring they are inclusive, engaging and put people at their heart. Her attention to detail and expertise at developing strong working relationships ensure satisfaction for all stakeholders. She has vast experience liaising with organisations in the business, public, third and broadcast sectors.
When not at the desk juggling arrangements for Pocket Projects, she can be found juggling a catch at a cricket match.
Jaisha is our latest member of the Pocket Projects team and is currently working with us whilst in her third year at University. She has a growing knowledge of editing platforms, workflows and is very handy with video technology. Her likeable personality, confidence and hunger to learn about editing and film production will make her
great asset for the many projects that she will be involved in.
