Public sector video production
Our work in the public sector
As specialists in public sector video production we have since 2006 partnered with national and local government and combined authorities across UK cities and towns. Our portfolio of work includes an impressive range of national and regional clients who have commissioned us for video projects in education, heritage, public health, policing & crime, children’s & youth services plus much more.
Partnerships
Many of our film commissions involve multiple partnerships including Combined Authorities across multi-year projects over months and even years. We have delivered many bespoke projects and our team are happy to guide your personnel through the whole filmmaking process.
Some of our most recent commissions have seen us partnering with the Police on suite of promotional videos to launch a ground breaking educational resource. We have also produced a series of educational resources for an online NHS training portal which involved travelling to London, Coventry and Manchester.
We are passionate about our work within the public sector and have values aligned with most of the organisations we work with.
Creative Storytellers
What sets us apart from other film companies is that we refuse to shoot generic films. Our films are focussed on telling compelling stories in as visually engaging and cinematic way as possible. We make original films about people, that not only document projects for stakeholders but are also valued legacy pieces that are either to be used as learning resources, displayed at conferences or entered into relevant film festivals.
Putting Young People First
Many of our video productions focus on the lives of young people. We’ve delivered inspirational projects for a range or clients and partners across a wide spectrum of social concerns, including: Working with NHS Early Intervention teams to challenge the stigma around mental health, partnering with schools on film projects focused on raising attainment levels, bringing creative media arts to young offenders in HMPS or tackling social isolation with local authorities and young people's volunteer groups.
Recent Projects
PROJECT: Pol-Ed
CLIENT: West Yorkshire Police
THE BRIEF
To produce an engaging 6’ promotional film, social media shorts and infographics highlighting the benefits of PolEd educational resource created by West Yorkshire Police to keep all children across West Yorkshire safe.
WYP needed an informative documentary film featuring talking heads from police, school teachers and pupils and LA representatives. After several scoping meetings with WYP and key stakeholders we filmed and edited the content.
IMPACT
The film will be shared across WYP’s social media during Spring 2023 to launch the PolEd website and resource for schools and CA partner agencies.
PROJECT: We Can Do Co
CLIENT: West Oaks School
THE BRIEF
To create a 2 minute promo film showcasing inspirational student led 16+ business enterprise initiative We Can Do Co.
Objective: We were tasked with producing a vibrant upbeat film that would showcase the ambitious students running their own business in a dynamic way rather than resorting to an interview format. The school in their own words described their existing content as boring and wanted a fresh new ideas.
Production notes
The film was shot over 1.5 days with a 2 person crew in Boston Spa & Leeds.
IMPACT
The promo was launched mid 2018 with massive success at the SEND Moving Forward conference and has since received over 1.5k views on Twitter. On the back of this success we were re-commissioned to shoot a 2nd Promo this time showcasing the schools Excellence For Everyone ethos. This film has been an even bigger success and we are now partnering with the school to create a series of films documenting the schools progress over the next 3 years.
