Brief

We were commissioned to produce a fun and uplifting short film that highlights the challenges facing Year 6 & 7 pupils as they prepare for, and experience, transition to secondary school. Into Film wanted a short film that presented difficult topics in an inventive way and used a clever concept to do so.

We chose to illustrate the daunting prospect of transition by depicting the main character as an astronaut landing in an alien world. And how using mindfulness can be a handy tool when navigating your way around a new environment.

The film, which was shot in an actual school setting, and features cast of actual pupils and TV actress Roxy Shahidi from Emmerdale.
